When businesses are so small it is rare to have an HR manager, because of that training and follow-up is non-existent. Who would be accountable and how could management implement a training routine to make it beneficial and cost effective?

You are asking about small business with big business words. In small business, the owner does it all. The business plan may be as much as a sheet of paper on the wall.

I haven’t been really catching up with the economy and politics and business news in the past year or two and I really want to get into a good habit of reading the news daily or as often as I can. But it sometimes is really difficult reading articles off of business websites such as The Economist or BusinessWeek. Is there a website for simple business news but still capturing all the details? I am a freshman economics major and just felt this would be important / applicable to what I will be learning.

You see your local news and local sports news and local business news etc in a local paper. WHO finds out about them if the paper doesn’t get a news tip?

They are contacted by the newsmakers, typically. They have well developed contacts w/ police, so they get reports from them on daily crime, they get in free to events and are actually envited to them by promoters who also advertise in the event …
Of course they have people listening to scanners and such for instant crime reporting, they go to city council meetings, grand openings …
long story short, they are established within the community they serve and the community makes sure they know when things are going on so it can be covered in the news and they combine these daily occurances w/ reporters timely coverage of crime or reporting indepth on what has tipped them off.

Hi. Here’s one that I am 110% confident in. Look at Ampegy, the marketing arm of Spark Energy. Spark Energy is a 10 year old billion dollar energy company that offers low fixed rates to residents and businesses in all 16 deregulated states.
I attended their launch event in Houston recently and was amazed and how put together everything was and yes, I have already earned with Ampegy. Now I am working on helping my team get their energy customers so they have residual coming in too. It’s only fun when everybody is earning.
If you can ask people to do you a favor and let you save them money on their monthly electric/gas bill then Ampegy may be for you. Message me. I know the corporate team and that’s how I heard about it. Deregulation has already happened in those 16 states and is happening in the other states currently. There is monthly money to be made and our customers actually save money so everybody wins.
Energy is HOT right now…but make sure you choose a company that is experienced (like Spark Energy) and one that is in multiple states. Many are just in Texas. Spark is in all the available markets.
